About the role
Alenio Structural Engineers is looking for a creative Social Media Content Creator – Video Editor to join its team on a freelance, part-time basis.
The role involves transforming raw construction-site and design footage into professional digital content while maintaining the company’s branding and visual identity. The selected freelancer will work remotely with flexible hours and produce content according to business and marketing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
~ Edit photos and video footage from construction sites and design activities into polished professional content.
~ Ensure all content follows the company’s branding, tone, and visual identity.
~ Independently deliver approximately one high-quality piece of content per week.
~ Add subtitles, graphics, transitions, music, and other effects to improve engagement.
~ Stay updated with social media trends, video formats, and creative techniques.
~ Identify trending topics related to engineering, construction, and architecture.
~ Develop marketing materials and other creative assets when required.
Requirements
~ Minimum 2 years of experience in social media content creation and video editing.
~ Strong knowledge of suitable content creation and editing software.
~ Strong skills in motion graphics, Reels, and short-form video content.
~ Ability to transform raw photos and videos into engaging visual stories.
~ Ability to create content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
~ Self-driven, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines independently.
~ Basic knowledge or interest in construction, architecture, or design will be an advantage.
~ Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
~ Knowledge of Sinhala and Tamil will be an added advantage.
