About the role
Eco Care Bio Energy (Pvt) Limited, a member of the ProMET Group of Companies, supplies sustainable bio-energy in the form of wood chips to the manufacturing industry.
The company has opened a new wood chipping plant in Thudugala, Kalutara, and is looking for a suitable professional to join the operation as an Operations Assistant.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Plant Supervisor and other operational teams to support production activities, maintain accurate operational records, coordinate receipts and deliveries, and ensure that plant activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
~ Assist the Plant Supervisor in implementing planned plant operations to meet customer requirements.
~ Operate the weighbridge and issue tickets while maintaining accurate records of receipts and issues.
~ Maintain productivity KPI records relating to people, machinery, and energy.
~ Maintain machinery and vehicle maintenance records to help minimize downtime.
~ Assist with compliance with guidelines issued by relevant government authorities.
~ Maintain the cleanliness of the plant and surrounding premises.
~ Coordinate with personnel involved in production and delivery activities.
~ Maintain and update records relating to firewood receipts, production, and deliveries to ensure traceability of firewood sources.
~ Submit invoices from firewood suppliers for recommendation and payment processing.
Requirements
~ G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in Technology, Commerce, or Science stream.
~ Good IT skills.
~ Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
~ Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
~ Good communication skills.
~ Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when operationally required.
~ Proactive and target-oriented attitude.
