About the role

Wayamba Printpack (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an experienced Maintenance Head to lead and manage the overall maintenance function of its Flexible Packaging Manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for improving machine reliability, reducing production downtime, developing preventive maintenance systems, and managing a multidisciplinary maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

~ Manage and supervise the overall maintenance function.
~ Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum production downtime.
~ Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
~ Lead troubleshooting and breakdown recovery activities.
~ Improve machine reliability, efficiency, and maintenance standards.
~ Manage spare parts, maintenance costs, and external technical services.
~ Coordinate closely with Production, QA, and other departments.
~ Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.
~ Lead and develop the maintenance team.
~ Establish effective preventive maintenance and maintenance planning systems.

Requirements

~ Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
~ Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
~ Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems.
~ Proven experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.
~ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
~ Experience in leading and managing a maintenance team.
~ Good knowledge of maintenance planning, machine reliability, and spare-parts management.
~ Knowledge or experience in the Flexible Packaging Industry will be an added advantage.
~ Strong leadership and communication skills.
~ Hands-on experience managing or developing maintenance functions in manufacturing environments such as packaging, plastics, printing, or similar process industries is preferred.
~ Experience introducing preventive maintenance and planning systems is highly valued.
~ Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
~ Experience with process, printing, or extrusion machinery is an advantage.
~ Professional qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred; strong practical experience will also be considered.
