About the role
Central Industries PLC is a leading manufacturing organization engaged in manufacturing and distributing premium uPVC and PE products, together with electrical switches and accessories.
The selected Internal Audit Associate will report to the Head of Internal Audit and will play an important role in safeguarding company assets, ensuring compliance, strengthening internal controls, and improving operational efficiency.
The role includes both office-based audit work and field assignments across factories, branches, and distributor locations.
Key Responsibilities
~ Conduct internal audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan.
~ Identify areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions to enhance efficiency and governance.
~ Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to the Head of Internal Audit.
~ Coordinate with different departments and assist with the implementation of audit recommendations.
~ Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding audit issues.
~ Travel to outstation locations when required for factory, field, and distributor audits.
Requirements
~ CBA or CCA qualification of CA Sri Lanka, or an equivalent qualification from CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or another recognized professional body.
~ Minimum 1 year of experience in internal auditing.
~ Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be an advantage.
~ Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment, and audit techniques.
~ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
~ Familiarity with ERP systems.
~ Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
~ Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
~ Male candidates below 30 years of age are preferred due to travel and operational requirements.

~ Head Office – Nawala.
~ Manufacturing Facility – Wattala.
~ Outstation branches, factories, and distributor locations as required.
