About the role
Sithma Associates (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team.
The selected candidate will support accounting and finance operations including maintaining financial records, handling accounts receivable, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, customer collections, supplier payments, fixed asset records, month-end closing activities, statutory documentation, and preparation of management information.
Key Responsibilities
~ Maintain and update accounting records and financial transactions.
~ Handle accounts receivable activities.
~ Prepare and process invoices and other related documents.
~ Assist with bank reconciliations and cash/bank transactions.
~ Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
~ Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on collections.
~ Assist with supplier invoice verification and payment processing.
~ Maintain accurate records of fixed asset transactions.
~ Assist with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial schedules.
~ Support the CFO in preparing management reports and other financial information.
~ Assist with VAT, tax, and other statutory-related documentation when required.
~ Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by Management.
Requirements
~ Part qualification in AAT, CIMA, CAM, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
~ Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role will be an advantage.
~ Good knowledge of basic accounting principles.
~ Good MS Excel skills.
~ Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
~ Strong numerical and analytical skills.
~ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
~ Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
~ High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
